Co-create in our Democratic Design center

If you are a startup working on solving the Big Problems, we want to invite you to apply for the IKEA Bootcamp program. If your team are one of the ten selected startups, you will spend three months in Sweden, at the heart of the IKEA Range & Supply Democratic Design center, working together with IKEA and Rainmaking to accelerate your startup.

And no, we don’t take equity

We do not take equity in your startup. We are looking to collaborate or co-create with you; we may end up being a customer, licensing your technology or even investing in your company, but first and foremost we want you to be working on the Big Problems and to share our vision to create a better everyday life for the many people.

Solving the
big problems

We are looking for startups to help us solve the IKEA ‘Big Problems’ around being truly affordable for the many people, reaching and interacting with the many, and enabling a positive impact on the planet, people and society

Affordable

We want to be affordable for people who cannot afford IKEA today. As IKEA wants to side with the many, we need to improve our ability to offer outstanding solutions at even lower prices, today and tomorrow.

Accessible

We want to reach and be accessible for the many. We need to challenge ourselves and our ability to be where the people are, when and how it suits them.

Circular

We want to fulfil our vision and have a positive impact on the planet, people and society. Together we must passionately challenge conventions and create capabilities that contributes to a sustainable future and a circular economy
